Yemi Osinbajo visits Ondo school, shares lunch with pupils, says food very tasty

Vice president Yemi Osinbajo who is currently on a two-day working visit in Ondo state, was sighted with the governor Rotimi Akeredolu sharing lunch with pupils of the Alagbaka Estate Primary School in Akure, the state capital. 

A tweet by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, says Osinbajo’s visit is meant to assess the Homegrown School Feeding programme of the federal government. Osinbajo who is a guest of governor Akeredolu joined pupils of Primary 3B during the English Language lesson. And when it was time for lunch, Osinbajo and Akeredolu relocated to Primary 3A, where they both shared the meal with the pupils. Going further, the vice president claimed the food was very tasty. Akande said the feeding programme currently feeds over 7.6m children across 24 states. Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that Osinbajo urged youths in the country to take their destinies in their hands by taking up leadership roles through innovative ideas. 

The vice president gave the advice while he spoke at the 2017 national youth convention of the Youth Ministry Church of the Lord Prayer Fellowship on Saturday, December 2, in Abuja. Osinbajo, who was represented by the Chaplain of the Villa Chapel, Sheyi Malomo, said that now was the time for youths to start thinking of leading the nation. 

The vice president recalled that Nigeria, as a nation, was built and shaped by the youths who were determined to build a formidable and united country.
